I have bought a cheap electronic rev counter and am struggling to find a place to mount it at the moment.
Any photos of how the OEM version was mounted? I think they normally go on the right hand side of the handlebars where the only likely points to pick up are the fork cap or the headlamp side screw.

Re: Rev counter mount
My bike is a 175TS which would not have had a rev counter, so I suppose I am looking for how it was mounted on the contemporary sporty versions. Elite or Mach 1 I think.

Re: Rev counter mount
Mornin' Ian, from a chilly -2°C, but very bright Perthshire.
Attached is an image of a Ducati MK3 250cc, with the accessory tacho mount using the single right hand side bolt for the headlamp shell as it's mounting point.
I'm sure that many moons ago there was a discussion and possible replication thread about this bit of tin work on the forum. So, a wee search using the 'Search' window top right, might prove useful?
Good health, BillR

Re: Rev counter mount
Thanks both.
Those seem to be the same type and use fork top cap and headlamp bolt.
I have found a piece of thick alloy plate in my garage so I think I will make something to pick up the fork cap. The electronic unit is quite lightweight so I think it will be ok with a single mount. I will try the unit first though, to make sure it works before putting the effort into the bracket.
PS Bill - about 5C here in the middle of England. Sunny though!

Re: Rev counter mount
By chance this Mark 3 popped up in a For Sale ad. Seems to be a different version using the central nut.
I’ll see if that might work better but might obscure the speedometer in the headlamp shell.
