I notice that these sort of postings don't happen very often on this forum. But, I thought that this thread, with images and a coherent description was worthy of posting and suspect that Nigel, Eldert and all those with an engineering bent would be interested.

Sorry but name drop alert.......in a conversation with the late Rex McCandless maybe 20 or so years ago (well maybe not really a conversation more a Rex told you and you listened session , about chassis/frame design he expounded at great length on the fundamentally correct design and advantages of the vintage girder fork. So I was interested to see BMW produce their telelever front fork on the new type boxers which was a vintage girder fork re engineered, and looking at the supermono here I see the same approach (nicer engineering than the BMW I think) good old Rex knew a thing or two about suspension, as of course did Vincent and Velocette and many others, If you have ever had the pleasure of riding a Mk8 KTT Velocette with racing quality Webb forks you would know just how good "vintage" girder forks can be.
Any how what a lovely looking bike, (complete with its 21st century girders), looking forward to hearing what it sounds like too

This bike is just what Ducati should be building. As for the suspension, I had a BMW with the Telelever front forks and it is the only bike I have ever known on which you can brake whilst cornering without the whole machine trying to right itself. A brilliant design.

It is a myth that BMW designed "their" telever forks. They "nicked " the design from the irrepressible Norman Hossack, who designed the Hossack suspension system, back in the mid 1970's. That 'Hossack 1" in the hands of Vernon was some wee beastie, like the proverbial "Long tail up a drain pipe!"

Delighted to share, I can see those cogs whirring. Now, would a telelever front end fit on that widecase?
