Finally

Resurrected from a salvage pile at my friends gas station, this 350 Scrambler is finally on the road. The forks were badly bent and the cam and rockers were destroyed due to a broken oil pump. The gears and bearings survived. I replaced the fork legs and installed a white cam and rockers with screw type adjusters. The piston is now a Mark3 item and has plenty of compression. The carb is the original 29mm square slide. The frame has been powder coated, the rims are by Sun with stainless spokes. Shocks are by Boge Mulholland. Fenders are from a Harley Sprint, I believe. I had the seat refurbished, the headlight is from a motorcycle jumble and the tail light is leftover from a 750SS. The metalic silver paint is by me. The muffler is from Ebay and the levers, bars and cables are aftermarket items. The regulator is a Chinese item (thanks Ducwiz) and keeps the battery charged but the biggest improvement is the Electrix electronic ignition from Nigel. I now can start the bike with my replacement knees with the help of a compression release. I'm convinced that this 50 year old bike will always need tinkering but what else is a retired 76 year old man have to do?

Very nicely done indeed, Frank, I hope it's as much fun to ride as it looks.
Cheers,
