Hello,
I'm renovating a Ducati Elite, model year 1959!
Wondering if anyone knows the corresponding colour codes RAL or other colour systems to Lecher DUC A18 Silver
Lecher DUC A22 Blue?
Sincerely
Sven

Aye Sven,
By typing "Elite paint" into the 'Search' window in the top right of this forum, a list of previous questions about Elite paint colours is shown.
I will leave it to you and others to trawl through the various threads, to see if they have the information that you require.
Here is the link to the 'Search' results: Elite_paint_Search
Good health, Bill

Re: Ducati Elite, color codes
The company's name is Lechler, not Lecher.
And I'm somewhat sure there are no direct RAl equivalents to Ducati colors from Lechler.
What is RAL: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RAL_colour_standard
RAL colours: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_RAL_colors

If you have an area of each colour that is in good condition (under seat , under swing arm), a good automative paint supplier can copy - if experienced in doing that. Most have colour reading instruments.

Re: Ducati Elite, color codes
Hi all, I too am rebuilding my 1959 Elite. Regarding paint, does this mean that despite Lechler supplying the original paint and having the relevant colour reference nnumbers they no longer supply the correct paints? I tried looking on the Lechler website but didn't have any joy.

Have a look here https://www.autopaint-pro.co.uk/ducati-motorcycle-paint-91-c.asp
Both colours are listed......... DUC A22 Azzurro Metallizzato Met and Duc A18 Grigo Perla Metallizzato Met.
I got my paints here for my Elite although mine is copper and red and am delighted with the results.

Re: Ducati Elite, color codes
I checked the Autopaint site but didn't see any colours listed. I believe the colours for my Elite should be A17 Rame & A26 Rosso Scarlatto [Bronze/Copper and Red/Scarlet], just as in the Ducati sales picture. My Elite was repainted at some point before I got it many years ago and there's no original paint on it so impossible to get a modern colour match.

Hi Elite Pete,
The colours are definitely there, click on the link I gave you, then on a sub category, then on the quantity of your choice.
There will then be a colour code with a drop down menu just above the price. Not all colours are listed in all paints but they do do them.
I spoke to them on the phone and told them I wanted 500ml of DUC A17 Rame and 500ml of DUC A26 Rosso Scarlatto in solvent base and was able to pick it up within an hour (they do deliver too).

Aye ElitePete,
Here is the link direct to the page that Bob Matthews describes:
Autopaint_500ml_Ducati_paint_solvent_basecoat
The 'Colour Code' selection window is directly above the price window on the screen.
I hope this clarifies and assists your paint selection.
Good health, Bill

Hi, thanks guys, found it, that's perfect. I'm not a painter but I assume some sort primer woud be required too and I guess they can supply a suitable one, I'll get in touch with them.
