Hi Rocla,
I agree with you about the attractiveness of classic vehicles, people will need more old stuff in their lives to replace the boredom and lack of character of modern vehicles, but my worry is that we will not be able to buy fuel. It is difficult to find petrol now in Britain because the eco-warriors are blockading the oil refineries and people are driving around looking for a filling station that has any petrol. This is only the beginning of what is in store for us!

Ok, but so far, fortunately, it is a specific british issue, probably partially due to Brexit... On the worldwild level, there is no oil peak yet, no shortage.. It has been annonciated for the last 50 years but it didn't occur yet!

No, nothing to do with Brexit, it is because the British Government has decided to ban the sale of petrol and diesel vehicles from 2030, so everyone is changing to electric cars. The problem at the moment is that there are protesters who wish to stop all sales of petrol and diesel fuel NOW, who are blockading the fuel refineries and stopping fuel tankers leaving, so that the filling stations have no fuel.

Ok, so it is local and political issue. Don't forget that, for instance, the german governement recently decided not to ban the explosion engine as it was scheduled. Some governements are getting more and more aware of the fact that electricity is probably not the best solution, as claimed the CEO of Fiat, Mercedes and Stellantis.
