Falcon 50/Sport 50 engine assembly

Postby ajleone » Sat Feb 23, 2013 9:38 pm

The Falcon/Sport 50 engines have loose roller bearings on both engine halves. one side of the clutch/gear shaft and the other on the drive gear shaft. I was going to assemble one side with the bearings and then hope the grease hold the other half whilst I jiggle it into place. Is there another technique ?
Any thoughts/insight would be appreciated.

I grease the bearings, then I use the smallest rubber band to hold them in place till cases are in place.hot oil will dissolve the rubber band in time.
