Hello-
Names Brian, new to the board. Come from a vintage BMW bike background, have owned a couple newer Ducs and jumped into the vintage Duc area to try something new. Picked up a 68 250 that was set for track. the plan is to get it street driveable and run with a full vintage road fairing, TT style. Any suggestions welcome, look forward to being on this site.

Re: quick intro
Welcome to the forum.
Post a picture and sort of do a quick inventory of what pieces you need to make it street-able.
I figure you must need a taillight, maybe a rear fender? Are you going to 'glass' a headlight into the fairing?
You probably need to replace some lighting wiring that might have been removed as part of the conversion to street bike.
I too came from a BMW background; I had a modern K100, a vintage R60/2 and a R75/5. But once I rode a Ducati single I sold the BMWs and never looked back.

Re: quick intro
Welcome Brian. Here is a quick list I put together as I am building a custom that I plan to use on the street:
Required:
Muffler - Exhaust noise max: 102 decibels (for pre-1986 vehicles)
Left hand rear view mirror
Horn
Headlight
Tail light
Stop light
License plate light
Fenders
Not Required:
No Turn Signals Required for vehicles before 1973
No Speedo/Odo required
It all depends on what state you live in, assuming you are in the US. I live in MA, USA so that is my list. Check with your DMV and NHTSA. I found this document helpful:

Good luck!
