Hi Guys,
i am very interested in your posts ref remote float bowls.Please see my piccies of the float bowl I have on my 125 Sport.It has a SS1 23 with it which I am rebuilding.I understand the float level is important but can anyome tell me how to set/check it please?is this the super rare bottom feed that airman blue was referring to?

I am going to guess here...

Since water seeks its own level:

If the float is too high fuel will burble out of the idle jet constantly.

If the float is too low the fuel level will rest too far down in the idle jet and vacuum from the intake stroke will not be able to draw fuel up and into the cylinder head.

There is a diagram in the Del Orto manual that depicts the use of a clear fuel line on the remote float bowl as a way to set the bowl level:
