Congrats on the beautiful bike! Wow what a stunner.
Dont think it was brought up but for some reason if you see some very fine safety wire and a lead seal on the bottom of the engine cases then unless that has been tampered with the cases have not been split before. Please keep sharing updates of your bike.. Love to see a video of it running.

TheBoss: thanks for that info. There is no wire/tag, and the P.O. told he he had a shifting problem repaired, which of course meant cracking the cases.
Evidently it was popping out of gear, and he said that after having it fixed it eventually started doing that again.
So once I have it up and running I'll have to see about that.
I'd love to post a video of it running, and will do so when it runs. Thus far I haven't been able to verify the functioning of the oil pump, and I won't try to start it until I do.
Cool vintage formica, by the way.

Any chance you vould post a pic of handlebar headlight layout, i have the same bike and trying to fiqure out wiring from bars and headlight,

Mine is slightly different in that its coil ignition, so has battery so looking to see what switch was fitted to the mark 3

Ratpick - yes, that black switch on the right handlebar is a kill switch.
