I bought a Yamaha XS-1 (XS650) front hub off CL to try to adapt it to my stock forks. I know it can be done since its on a single that I posted earlier.

We will see how hard this is Guess I just needed another project.
Few specs/pics:
From Vintage Brake:
Yamaha XS650: 200mm 2LS, 35mm wide, 17mm axle, 36 hole, good pre-holed hub and scooped backplate, swap bearings for 20 or 25mm axle, lug mount. 3 things not to like: wimpy 6mm link rod in compression, master and slave arms work through different leverage ratios, actuating cams do not locate shoes.

Re: Poor man's Oldani ?
First hub I got off CL had a chunk missing from one side. Guess they got me.
Looking for another one before I tackle the mods to make it fit. The broken one will prob end up being my test pc.
Would still love to track down someone that has done this already to see how they did it.

Re: Poor man's Oldani ?
One hurdle down. Found the right bearings that will allow the use of the stock 15mm axle vs the 17mm that the XS uses.
One step back. Thought I had a line on another hub but the guy must have sold it out from under me. Stopped responding to emails.

A guy gave me a nice Moto Marini 3 1/2 Runs good but guess what no title.
The good part is it has a nice 2LS front brake Oldani style, on marzocchi forks just like my 350w/case.You gave me an idea switch front wheel and fork sliders from the moto marini to my 350w/case and I can convert my 1970 to 2LS Brakes.

Post some pics of it once you get the swap done.
