If the correct spring retainer can't be found, a possible solution could be a conversion to coil springs.
It's been done on the bigger singles.

Thanks Jordan.
I think I may have found a resource here in the states that can provide one. If that falls through then I will just continue to watch eBay. I don't want to convert to coil springs as that's more expense then what this little guy probably merits. Not to mention there is a lot more on the bike tugging at my pocket.
That said, I have found a new piston (61.5mm) and purchased two new valves so we are on the road to recovery.
