POINTS IN THE DISTRIBUTION

Hello boys: I'm from Spain and I have a 250 24 horas, I want to pose a question, in the conic gear of the crankshaft there is two points to mach with the other conic gear of the tistribution ¿Wich is the correct one? and ¿Why are two? thanks for your help

the dot by the keyway is for 175 cc engines . 250 , 350 and 450 engines use the dot to the left from the keyway
the 11 o clock position so to speak

Tanks a lot, usually I note the posityon before dismounting, but I forgot that time, I started to rebuilt 10 months ago and I try with a position but I think I was wrong because the engine run but with a lot of smoke en no much power. Thanks aganin
