WTB: Narrow case (55mm) flywheel puller

Postby blaat! » Fri Sep 09, 2011 1:11 pm

Anybody have a narrow case flywheel puller that they are looking to part with? I'm reluctant to drop the $60 on eBay as I'm trying to stretch the restoration budget. I figured someone might have a used one that they no longer need for a bit less. I tried the heat and tap method of flywheel removal with no luck. I hate to buy the tool and then use it only once, but it looks to be the only way to remove it without damage...

Thanks!

You could try using a two legged puller to remove a flywheel.
You can usually get it to fit OK, unlike a three legged one.
It should work without any damage.
Harbour freight tools and Pep boys both used to sell one that would fit.
