Mk 3 Desmo fuel tank

Hi,
after much thought I have decided to buy a new fibreglass fuel tank from Ducati vintage store: https://www.ducativintagestore.com/fibe ... _unpainted
The steel tank I have was purchased from John Wittman back in the 80s. It already had a hard life and been repaired with a weld near the rear mount. However it also was suffering with a split near the filler cap which was fixed with a large flat washer welded to hold the filler. Then 30 years later I decide to get her running ( which she is!) but there is a pinhole leak on the original weld, despite POR 15 sealant.
So, I now have a slightly dented, slightly leaky, slightly welded mk3 tank. It’s beyond my skill to restore, but if anyone worldwide would like it, I’ll give it away for the postage.
I can send photos if anyone is interested?
Dave
