A very nice looking Mach 1.
I didn't see this one mentioned anywhere on the forum, so thought I'd add it for reference even though the time has passed. The photos might be handy for restoration reference for some.
Obviously, this link won't stay current for ever.

Wow! I personally have not seen a single sell for that kind of price ever before...

Re: Mach 1 Sold on eBay
Jim,
They have regulary gone for more than that in Aus. I paid a tad more than that for my 68 Twin filler MK3D. My rational behind that was that I always wanted one and they almost never came up (game, set, match) and it was the first year of the first production desmo and was likely be desireable going forwards. I think going forwards, that MAch1 price will seem cheap relatively soon.

Re: Mach 1 Sold on eBay
Hi all,
I've just found this forum.
I've bought that M1 listed in the first post. I used the same logic as Kev has mentioned above with regards to my max bid. I'm located in Sydney, Australia and plan on shipping it out. With the weak USD at the moment, I think it was a pretty good price. I spoke with Ian Gowanlock and Phil Hitchcock (both friends of my dad) who both said the value of these was around $18-$22,000AUD ($19-24,000USD) in the local market here. I'll have it landed for a touch over $18,000AUD after shipping and taxes etc. My uncle has an M1 stored at my parents place with my dads 71' 750GT and 160 Monza, although its not been started since my uncle restored it in the late 1980's. Will be nice to have a running one in the family!
This is my first Ducati (although my dad and uncle have had many) and I plan on registering it on historic club rego and enjoying it on social club rides etc. Personally, I think this is THE Ducati single to own (with the exception of a Sliver Shotgun maybe) and I think the value of these will continue to rise in the future.
