LIKE THE TITLE SAYS, DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY INFO, CLOSE UP PICS OR EXPLODED VIEWS OF THIS CARB. ? i USED TO HAVE A SS1 30 D WITH A STANDARD BOWL (SOLD IT) BUT I JUST BOUGHT THIS ONE AND ITS MISSING A FEW PIECES, DOES ANYONE HAVE A REMOTE FUEL BOWL, CAP, FLOAT, FLOAT PIN, CLAMP/INSULATOR, OR INLET FITTING MAYBE ? i HAVE THE ENTIRE CARB. BUT NONE OF THE FUEL BOWL STUFF. i DO HAVE A STANDARD FLOAT CHAMBER FROM A SS1 29 D SO IF I CANT FIND WHAT I NEED MAYBE I WILL JUST CHANGE IT TO THE STANDARD TYPE CARB...

THANKS, JOE

Hi, The remote chamber comes in two sizes, not sure which is right for your 30mm, but i think its the smaller one, its fitted with a rubber lined clamp that mounts on a flat plate which bolts to a slotted bracket that was welded to the frame ,look at fotos of 125/175 racers to see what i mean. The standard angled chamber is no use for this application, I have a new remote assembly but its for the larger sizes 30mm plus??, otherwise i would have fitted it to my 250 , they are better at high revs as they reduce fuel frothing.

Hi Eldert, the remote float is no use to me as its too big to sit close to the SSi under the frame curve of the NC frame, its a boxed NOS and is complete except for the banjo that goes on the top, i think the purchaser will also need to buy a banjo to fit to the SSi base, these are availiable .I would prefer to swap it for the smaller remote which i think fits SSi's up to 32mm??. No idea what its Value is. But its is for sale.I'm currently working on trying to clean up the richness on small throttle settings, Any idea what the effect of increasing the size of the cross drillings in the needle jet?, Does anyone have the profile measurements of the SSi needle?.Post foto's?? ,thats a laugh, I can only try.

Bob, pm me a price if you can, I didnt realize it was actually for sale... I am working with a guy in spain right now trying to get one, he has a bunch of them, new in the box, 3 different sizes and types i believe (ss1/and ss2) Its hard to say if this will go through or not, but i surely do need one, I have a ss130d with no bowl assembly at all...

Let me know, thanks... Joe

I don't want to interfere with international commerce, but I'm sure BevelBob wouldn't want you to be disappointed after the purchase, so, here's a picture of a SSI30A with the SS2 bowl on the left and the SS1 bowl on the right.
SS1 SS2.jpg

To me, the large bowl looks out of proportion with the small bodied carburetor, but that may be just me.
Here's another picture that shows size difference between the large body SSI35 and the small body SSI30.

It's usually hard for me to compare things when I don't see them side by side. If you knew all of this, just disregard and move on.
