I've got a '66 n/c SCR 250 that I've been hiding in the garage for 11 years, time to start working on it I think.
I haven't decided yet if I want to restore it or resto-mod it. I like the look of the original SCR, but I've also been thinking about doing it as a cafe racer - sort of - kinda - street bike.
I got the bike free when a co-worker was helping his brothers-in-law clear out an old shed on their farm in central Iowa. He knew I had a Ducati Monster, and saw Ducati on the engine and thought I might be interested. I did a title search before moving away from Iowa, and it appears the bike was never registered there, so I don't have a title. I imagine I'll have to get a bonded title when/if I register it, but I'll deal with that later.
It's fairly complete, missing a few things though, and I've slowly picked up a few things over the years.
I'll post pictures up in a folder on photobucket later and post the link for you all to see my little dusty gem.

It's still buried in the back of the garage, but I'll start digging it out and setting up a place to work on it soon.
s/n on the engine is 93964, there is nothing on the neck. From what I can tell, if there ever was a sticker on there with the imported s/n, it's long gone.
It's also got the 19" front, 18" rear wheels, but no brake hubs at all. The wheels kind of flop around on the axles, is that because the hubs aren't there?
This is my first old bike to work on, up until now it's either been minor jobs on the Monster or bolt-on bits on my cars. I'm looking forward to this, and eventually riding the bike around.
