Correct Tail Light?

Postby Teckhardt » Mon Dec 14, 2009 11:30 pm

I want to replace the cheapo truck light that the previous owner put on my '70 450 SCR. :x

I think the correct light is either the CEV 9241

http://www.guzzino.com/cevtali9.html

or the CEV 9313 (black body)

http://www.guzzino.com/noname48.html

Is one of these right or is there another?

Thanks

" I think the correct light is either the CEV 9241
or the CEV 9313 (black body) "

____ Unfortunately, it's the higher priced #9313...
(The other looks to be for a 1973 750 Sport & 750SS.)

Pretty much what I figured.

Any other source for the black bodied version? Domiracer says no more stock. Have not seen any on the usual suspects.

____ I know that one of our other registered-members has one! _ I think he's thinking of listing it on eBay.
I'll suggest to him that he try listing it here as well.

I don't know for sure. The body looks the same but the lens is different.

Looks like this lens

http://www.guzzino.com/cev127talile1.html

which would not be the same light.

One question - Do you have a boss in the rear fender frame loop for a cap screw ? If so, I might have an option for you. The one CEV tail light that I have on my 450 SCR has a single cap screw that attaches the horizontal mount of the tail light to the frame. The other style is the 2 hole flange in the horizontal plat that bolts to the fender.

Shoot us a pic of what we are looking at on your bike.

My light bracket/plate holder has two holes for the screws on the light with a hole in the center for the wires.

Like this one.

The question is whether you have the type of tail-light bracket with an upper-mount that bolts directly to the frame, or just the fender only !?
__ The type that's bolted to the frame-loop, is for the Scrambler models only.
