Can anyone tell me the difference between a Narrowcase Sidecover and a Widecase Sidecover? I would like to know the differences all around, all three covers.
Thanks!!!!

____ Both Right-side covers (themselves) are the same for either n-c/w-c, and thus interchangeable ! _ The Left-side/primary-cover however is not interchangeable between n-c & w-c models ! _ Ya can easily tell those Left-side covers apart by two obvious differences ! ... The w-c primary-cover has a slight hump seen centered right above the crankshaft-bearing plug, and even more-so notable is the rearward area where the kick-starter shaft protrudes at, as it is a bit lower & more rearward, thus causing the w-c cover to have a more squared-off (somewhat protruding) shape compared to the n-c cover's more plain/oval type shape at that rearward area.
__ As far as any other parts which fit to any of them,, other than the ks.shaft, the internal-parts of the shifter-box are all that have gone-through any -(three) major-changes.

DCT Bob pointed out the differences in the clutch covers- a picture might help:

I look at the sideways teardrop feature, the kickstart shaft boss is inside the teardrop on the narrow engine and outside on the wide engine- I highlighted in yellow:

I'm new to singles and find buying parts on Ebay frustrating- most of the Ebay 'vendors' don't have any idea what they're selling- pictures help.

____ Well Rick, you've now done what I had been intending to getting-around to doing, and a better job at that !! _ (However, I planned to include the EARLY [no "teardrop"] n-c cover, as well.)
So thanks for your contribution !
It's always quite nice to have such helpful-minded posters at this w.site !
