__ The non-greedy seller has 8 very popular Duc.Single-parts set to end between 20-minutes to just under 11-hours from now !
I expect his DUKE-parts to sell at record-low eBay-prices ! _ So long as no one tipped-off here, bids early -(before the last few seconds of auction end-time) on them !
The seller also has his listings set for no possibility of personally-answered questions accepted ! _ Thus he also can't be contacted to lift his bidding-restrictions for ya !

____ If no one else posts to this thread, then I intend to delete this post soon after his last auction ends today. _ As/since the purpose* of this post will then be no longer. - (*That purpose being that I wish to help those of us here, to find & possibly obtain better than average eBay-deals on useful DUKE-parts!)

UPDATE! ... I now see that nobody-else noticed the good-price on the quite desirable w-c ign.switch & key ! _ Too bad, as anything under 25-bucks for such is a good-find !
Just as it turned-out that I was indeed RIGHT about that auction-listing getting next to no bidding-competition, so will the remaining 7 listings by that seller,, unless someone tipped-off here gets in on the (non)- action !
Remember that if ya do decide to try, then hold-off on your bid until just before the auction's end-time ! _ Otherwise you'll just cause whoever the winner turns-out to be, to pay an even higher price, (as bidding begets additional-bidding!).

__ I can't believe that every last single-soul who was tipped-off here, didn't care to take a shot at winning that eBay-seller's listed tach-drive ! _ It was at 103-bucks before I first placed this post, and that low-price is where it remained unchanged till auction-end ! ...

Those cable-drive/covers usually sell for between 150 to 250$, on eBay !

Should we have a separate sub-forum to post stuff we see on eBay, Craigslist and the like that members stumble across and are not going to bid on, but we would like to mention it as a courtesy in case someone on the list is looking for it?

For instance, I think this tank: ebay item 270697855221 is kind of a rare model made for the 450. If you have a 450 frame you know how hard a tank can be to find. Note the wide 'gully' at the rear of the tank where it would straddle the frame tube. The 450 frames are gusseted and as such they can't accept any generic tank, they require a tank specifically made to straddle that frame gusseting.

The down-side to creating a sub-forum for this purpose is that you may find something you are going to bid on and maybe it's 'under the radar' in terms of current auction price and bid amounts and then someone else alerts the forum members which may drive up the price, perhaps out of reach and pitting forum member against forum member (though anonymously.)

Something else to consider though is we only have a couple hundred members as of now. and some percentage of those are spammers that have been locked out so we are a small group.

I think we should give it a try until and unless it creates disharmony among us but I would like to hear other opinions.

I sometimes find auctions with misspelled words, Delorto instead of Dellorto. This guy probably didn't mean to be quite so direct, or the guy who did the translation for him was a practical joker.

__ The only reason I bothered to post a posting concerning that particular seller's listings is because I of course realized that ya can't easily find an eBay-seller's settings, (as only the seller is able to look-up his own chosen settings, so thus ya have to discover them through trial & error), and since I had happened to discover that that seller had at least two chosen restrictions set full-on, I then figured that he probably had gone full-on & also had more than just the two set so restrictively.
__ Ya see since eBay has come to allow eBay'ers to remain so, even after breaking some of their rules (such as not paying for auctions won), they have since given their sellers a selection of restrictions to place on bidders, (such as how many [of the seller's] listings they can be 'lead-bidder' on at any one time).
All those restrictions supposedly help keep the seller from having to deal with anything other than the 'cream-of-the-crop', but it's somewhat stupid to activate any of those restrictions unless the seller doesn't really care for his auction-listing's end-price to get pushed-up as high as possible !
And in this particular case (which I've brought to light for this thread), it stood to reason that since this seller was NOT selling items which MOST eBay'ers would care to have, then therefore his chosen restrictions would thus only work to keep bidding-interaction to a near minimum and of course then result with low-price outcomes.

____ I myself WOULD'VE either won that quite desirable key-switch or else would've caused the winner to pay over 20-bucks for it, (depending on how high his bid was).

I think a separate section for ebay and craigslist threads would be a good thing and a place where folks can ask questions about item, and talk about bidding intent. IT might get dicey, but maybe we should give it a try.

Probably most mentioned eBay-auctions would then sell at somewhat higher end-prices than they otherwise would've ended-up at, and plus that, the ratio of 'US' -(those who know of this w.site), versus 'THEM' -(those who are not any of "US"), as auction-winners, will thus increase. - (Meaning that WE will then win more auctions, [compared to "THEM"], than otherwise would likely happen.)
