Greetings,
I replaced the 13mm Viton (3 hole) seals in my '74 desmo fuel taps. The Oldani 10mm x 1 type.
I bought these viton seals from Bevel Rubber. On his web site he states that some taps don't have the brass tubes that positively locate the viton seals and they can turn and not line up correctly. He states that he can install these short brass tubes.
My Oldani taps have these tubes. All worked perfectly.
Now onto the Scrambler taps which look the same except the thread is 12mm x 1.5. Setti Vignola brand.
These taps have not hold the viton in the correct place and do not have the 3 brass tubes to positively locate the 3 hole viton seals.
Has any one done this upgrade ?
How did you press the thin brass tubes into the tap body ? (I can make the brass tubes)
Regards
Graeme

Re: More questions about fuel tap inner seals
Please accept my apologies for being a complete anorak/pedant/pain in the arse, but the company that designed the lovely old fuel taps was Orlandi.
Oldani was the company that made beautiful brakes.
Sorry!

Mr Boxprod, no need for apologies!
You are 100% correct.
I need to apologise for being a blind old retard.
Thank you for correcting me
