N/C front fork and rear shocks rebuild

Postby DucBull175 » Mon Nov 17, 2025 7:42 pm

Hi Guys,

I´m new in the game and bought a old 175s lady :D .

1) I´m started to disassemble and failed with the front fork (seems it´s an Marzocchi not a Ducati n/c) with one spring not with two.
The trouble is that the screw on the bottom was already round before I touched it the first time (maybe someone before tried to handle it).
Is it possible to open / disassemble the fork from the top or do I have to drill out the screw at the bottom?

2) I tried also to disassemble the rear shock´s and read that I have to compress the chrome cover to the top to put out the two halve clips... is that right? Which surface is the best to press without damaging the cover?

Cheers and best regards
Wolfgang

Sorry to have left you hanging for so long ! , the forks were std fitment . The alloy bolt in the base of the slider may come out if you can bang on a six sided socket that just a little smaller ( whitworth or AF ?) and it will need to be a good solid steel one if not to split. Failing that drilled out and possibly a new damper assy.
