Spacer needed behind crankshaft nut?

Postby bendik » Sun Aug 17, 2025 7:09 pm

This is a race/parade bike. I am now installing a new crankshaft and the former owner used a cut down rotor as a spacer behind the gear on the crankshaft, Is this really needed? Is the step in the cranksahft to small to support the sprocket?

Bendik

I wouldn't use the rotor centre, but you will need a bobbin type spacer behind the gear. I'll email you a sketch.
