Motorcycle World Speed Record

Apologies for posting this here because it has nothing to do with Ducati Singles, but I thought that it may interest some people here.

I dropped off a repair job to Alex Macfadzean earlier today, and he showed me his streamliner that he has built, called 52 Express, which is to be ridden by Guy Martin for an attempt on the motorcycle world speed record. It is powered by a Lynx helicopter engine and is simply an amazing piece of engineering (look It up on-line if you wish to find more info).

The attempt will be in Bolivia, because that is the only place with a long enough stretch of hard surface. Alex is desperate for sponsorship, so if you have a spare million pounds, or know someone who has and who would like to be part of a British world-beating team (with a Channel 4 documentary as publicity) then contact Alex.
