Good evening, have a stock Jr which last summer was running great. Fall time I started bike and had trouble starting and keeping the bike running. Dumped gas thinking it was bad, pulled carb and cleaned everything.
This past weekend put fresh gas in, second kick fired up. I am having problem keeping the bike running at idle (dies) and when going down the street feels like settings in carb are off.
I am struggling with it being carb issue since bike had run great. Any ideas what to check further, settings on carb I should look at?
It is worth noting since finishing restoration 5 years ago the bike only has 2 or 3 miles on it. Throttle cable/slide needing some adjustment finally (only explains dying at idle)?

You should investigate inside your carb.
Could be some solids have clogged up jets or passages.
Those solids could be rust, dirt or corrosion debris.
A pressure pack can of carb cleaner can be used to verify unclogged holes.
Especially check the idle circuits.
