Hi all, I’m after some advice and wisdom re the headlamp shell I have. It’s been mutilated in a past life, but I hope to get it back to standard looking and function with a bit of surgery!
I am unsure of what size it is? My brain is telling me the diameter should be measured at the headlamp reflector, not the shell or rim?
I’ve attached a couple of photos to assist.
Does anyone know what it’s originally from?
Many thank
Dave

Re: Headlamp shell help
Looks similar to a Mach 1.
Others may know if Ducati used the same headlight on other models.
Does the hole between the speedo and the mount look production or hand crafted later? That isn't on mine. Also are the depressions next to the switch hole damage or features? Hard to tell from the photos.
Otherwise the size and features look similar

Thank you, other than the speedo hole and the cable holes underneath all of the others have been butchered for ignition keys and an ammeter! I’m hoping to get it back to looking like yours!

Re: Headlamp shell help
Yes the headlight is measured at the lens opening. Looks like yours is a 150mm made by Aprilia. Some Ducati singles came with a 130mm headlight and are more common. If you’re in the states Guzzino has reproductions available. Originals are a little hard to find and expensive.

Re: Headlamp shell help
I have been fortunate enough to obtain a complete headlamp with all switches from NOS so it should be as close to OEM as possible so any dimensions, photos, you may still need let me know, John

Re: Headlamp shell help
Hi John, that would be really helpful. It seems there were some variations in design so photos and dimensions would be fabulous.
