I know there are about 100 different varieties but does anyone have one they would like to get rid of that will work (or can be made to work) with a Smiths tacho on a 450 yellow desmo?

There is one on Ebay at the moment (could be someone here selling it I suppose) which is apparently off a Mototrans bike but I've no idea if I could make it work.

Got a photo of the ebay one, Ian? The drive on my SCR is for a Smith's clock, so I would be able to do a visual match up, at least.

(And I don't think there's any guts or gearing in these drive covers, is there? In which case, it should just be a case of, 'Does the drive tang fit in the slot in the cam?').

But Jon P. will know, I feel sure. You could try sending him a pm.

And I think this is the part number for the piece you're after. But please don't take my word for Gospel ...
