Evening all,
I’m the new custodian of an ill defined Mototrans 200 TS. All the cycle parts seem to be TS but the Spanish paperwork that came with it suggests the engine is a 200 aport. Can anyone tell me where to find a Mototrans parts catalogue, or which Italian one would be most useful ?

Secondly, how can I tell whether it is a TS or a sport engine ?

The 200TS engine numbers started at 61851 in 1967. This was a 5-speed motor.
Mototrans never made a model just called the 200 Sport.
The 200 Elite motors started at 80000 as a 4-speed model, becoming a 5-speed model in 1967, and re-named the Elite V5.
At the changeover from 4-5 speed models Mototrans did some very strange things, with 5-speed cases only having 4-speed gear clusters fitted.
Let us know the engine and frame numbers, or a photo, and it should be possible to give a better answer.
An Italian parts book would be little help for a Spanish 200TS.
Mototrans parts books, covering 200TS, 24 Horas and a couple of other models are sometimes available on Spanish web sites, but I think the Ducati Owners Club GB can supply a photocopy of a suitable parts book.
