Hi guy's
I have the chance to obtain a 98 S or SS unsure which model as coming over from Italy complete and running for restoration only part missing is little fairing,
Frame DM08505 eng DM07954 there seems to be bit of confusion regarding this model s produced '53-'58 and SS '54-'55 but the later S model are possibly same spec as SS models can anyone shed any light on this and ball park value's,
I am trying to control my buying but the 200 Elite and M900 monster along with others are getting lonely a RD350YPVS I got to restore is just needing a good clean up and registering (riot to ride) a Bevel engine is beyond me to take apart but the 98 I hope is a good engine to start with,
Thankmyou Paul

I'm not an expert in the pushrod singles made by Ducati. I like to recommend signing up to

as starting points for getting information about this little gem.
cheers Hans

Hi Paul I passed my driving test on a 98 pushrod in the 60s, to long ago to remember which model. What I can tell you is that a 200 Elite it isn't. Don't expect to much
Shame I was not able to give my Ducati bevel singles talk at VMCC club night, the pushrod was the start of my Ducati experience

Re: Ducati 98 S or SS
These pretty little sport models were really the first Ducati sport bike's so needs to be saved admired and ridden around locally and added bonus of small enough to put on display indoors
I had the 98T but got sucked up by 50cc's,
The Sport models started in 53 the SS model (unicorn) was 54/55 this is a 58 complete and running but led to belive the later Sport models were specced up to SS I may be wrong on this "probably" but if you see any 98 Sport grab it with both hands especially if complete I've got that t shirt,
The talk will come when it comes, are you going to display your bike on the night it would be nice to see a room full of grown men dribble
maybe when it's done I can have a drag race with a fit person peddling like hell on the Brisk,
