Rubber strap

Postby graeme » Wed Jun 15, 2022 4:21 am

Anyone know who makes these straps ?
I need a longer one than this one
This is about 185mm hole centre to hole centre.
(7 1/4 inches)

Their fairings etc look very nice, as well! No idea if they like E10? :?

Good health, Bill

Thank you Eldert and Bill,

That’s where I bought the tank and seat.
The strap I have came with the tank.
I will contact them.

Graeme

Hello Graeme

Those straps are manufactured by Sandro Mentasti (Ariete). As far as I know there is only one length of that type. Any straps currently available can be seen in their technical catalogue listed below. That one is on page 129.

Coincidentally they were the original manufacture of many or most of Ducati's (and other Italian manufacturers of the period) rubber components and some can be seen in this catalogue. They still hold the drawings and moulds for many of the ducati original parts. However if the components are not in the current catalogue then they will only reproduce them in volume. Excellent Firm in all respects.

They don't sell to the public, however any agent for them can order anything for you from the catalogue. If there is anything in the catalogue I can of course order it for you if you can't find a local distributor.

Thank you Nigel,

It seems that the strap I have is the longest they make.
I will buy a long O ring or piece of rubber.
I appreciate you posting this information.

Regards
Graeme
