The 250cc Ducati was bought new by my brother in Durban, South Africa and was handed down to me in 1969. I used to commute to work on this bike until I bought a Honda CBR 550 in 1975. Since then I owned a Honda NSR 250 MC28 and over the last 10 years I also owned a CBR600RR. I still have the NSR.
During the early 1970 I fitted a honda engine to the Ducati frame, as the original engine was always leaking oil. I used the Honda subframe and rear swing arm and in so doing I cut off the rear engine mounting of the Ducati and discarded the part. I intend to refit the original engine but I need to manufacture the rear engine mounting, together with the centre stand. Can anyone be so kind to take a photo of this engine mounting from the side. One or two dimensions would be great, especially the position of the swing arm pivot, in relation to the engine mounting bolts.
Thanks, John.

Re: Ducati mach 1
These may assist, the bike is all back in one piece now, so measurements will be a bit tricky.
I'll get some tomorrow for you.

In the bottom pic-the distance from the centre of the half moon on the swinging arm gusset plate to the centre of the top engine mounting bolt is 52 mm
