Early Diana 250 Fender Widths

Postby mark3kb » Sat Jan 16, 2021 6:59 pm

Hello , I was hoping someone knows the answer to this question. Does the 61 thru 64 Diana 250 / Daytona , ( not the US Mark III model) have the wider fenders similar to the round body style Monza's ? (without valance of course), or were the fenders slightly more narrow like the Mark 3 250s by 3/8" I believe.
I do know the early 61 to 64 Diana 250 wore WM1 rims with 2.75 F and 3.00 R tires which would lead me to believe that the fenders were also the slightly wider variant. The Mark 3 250 wore 2.50 F and 2.75 R tires which makes sense that the fenders were slightly narrower.
I was always under the impression that the narrow fenders did not show up until the 64 1/2 Type B 5 speed Diana. Please correct me if I am wrong,
thanks Kurt
