Aye halfpast,

May I suggest that you have a look through this website and contact them via the telephone?

Motorcycleshockabsorbers

I have purchased Betor rear shocks for my MKIII 450 and they provide a firm, well damped ride on the road and I know others, who know how to scratch, have used them for racing. :D

They also supplied a Hagon monoshock for a Honda Bros 400, for less than Hagon could supply it, including carriage! 8-)

Good health, Bill

That looks like an interesting link, Bill - thanks.

I've been thinking of changing the front springs in my Vento, and they may well be able to help ...

Thank you for an interesting discussion. Those links, with plenty of tales of woe from cheap shocks, prompted me to go for YSS. I would have got Ikon -same price- but they have a 6-week delivery delay and YSS is in stock. I hope to get the bike running over Xmas.

Brook Suspension had the best price for the YSS.

YSS are easily the best value shocks; I've had them on the back of my GT1000 Sport Classic for ten years and they work superbly, with damping adjustment fine enough to allow for summer/ winter and a superb finish that lasts.
