Help with I D - model and year

Hi All - Just acquired my first single, I have no background on the bike I bought it unseen on an internet auction. Its a narrow case with engine # DM250 on the left case and 95442 on the right case. The stator out put is 2 wires both the same colors (gold) and go directly to what looks like voltage regulator under the seat. Shifter is not working so I don’t know if it is 4 speed or 5 speed. It seems to be mostly original except for the fenders which don’t look like any of the ones I have seen in pictures. The color is black which I don’t think is original does anyone have a suggestion as how to determine what the original color was? The sticker on the steering head is missing so I have no frame number. Thank You in advance for any information or suggestions.

your bike looks like a 250 Monza to me . its a 5 speed engine . very mild tuning with a 24 mm UBF carburator
