Looking for cam bearing cap

Postby HMBAtrail » Sun May 17, 2020 9:25 pm

Does anyone, preferably here in the States, have a cam bearing cap that they want to sell? Cosmetic condition is not a concern but I would very much like it if the oil feed port is concentric and centered to the bearing, unlike my current crap cap that came with the head.

This is for a race bike and I will tap it for external oil line so I don't care if it says 250 or 350 or 450 on it. But for what it's worth this is a 450 springer head.

Thanks in advance,
Tim O'Donnell

I think the 450 bearing cap has a different length from 250/350.

I just went out and checked. You are 101% correct. 28mm vs 32mm depth. I learned something today.

OK, so does anyone have a 450 springer bearing cap? :)

Hello Tim,
I have a few but I'm as far from you as it gets. (Tasmania, Australia)
I have 2 un branded 450 covers, 2 marked 450 covers and 1 250 cover.
The unbranded (CC size) covers are from 450 engines.
And yes the 250 is shorter.
I'm looking for a 450 desmo cover to do the same as you are going to do so don't care about condition.
If you get stuck and can't find what you want over your side let me know.

Regards
Graeme
