The meter reading over the battery posts reads 14v (approx) at fast idle for 10 seconds and then drops to 11.5v and stays at this level no matter what rev range. Would this drop indicate a incapability of the battery to accept any charge.Alternator is good, r/r is good, wiring looks good. Could this be a sign of a bad battery? The voltage drop when lights, indicators etc are turned on is very fast which indicates this, I think

A fully charged 12V Pb-acid battery must have ~12.5 Volts across the terminals, at no load. Your battery has definitely reached it's end of life ;)

cheers Hans

Dave, you're not still pissing about with that same knackered battery, are you?

Are you having difficulties accepting it's demise? Sometimes you have to just let go, you know ... :)

Ok, ok it’s over. I will no longer talk about the useless, scheming, two faced, double crossing, so called battery. Ah.... that’s better
