Thanks for Jesus Guzman site Colin. I have bookmarked site. They have POM Acetal Resin bush set at 28 euro. must be worth trying.

Have a look at this site also that I've just discovered; I didn't realise that there are two Classic Ducati sites: www.classicducati.co.uk/

That's Angela and Barry Jones, Colin. Good people.

Back to Classics is Grover the dog and a few hangers on (Harm & Harné Heuvelman) ... :D

Ducati Vintage Store is Maurizio and Ombretta and is what used to be Gli Amici dello Scrambler.

It is all mightily confusing ... ;)

But even more confusingly: https://www.classicducati.com/ It seems that Barry Jones sold the original business and started a new one....

I knew that Barry had sold up, but he told me he was retiring. Never met him but spoke on the phone a few times, and got some bits from him. He also had my fork stanchions rechromed with a batch of his for a good price.

Just to clarify the situation, I have just spoken to Angela on the phone. Yes they are still trading supplying GENUINE Ducati parts. I have always found them to be very helpful.

If you want to confuse things even more, Tomas Ortuno in Spain runs www.ducaticlassic.com

I contacted Barry Jones at classicducati.co.uk and he had a NOS 125 sport piston. That's one thing less to find. I now have piston and barrel to be re-bored.
Speaking to Barry about my 175 centre stand he has some 125 stands and I was wondering if the 125 stand could be modified to suit the 18" wheels on 175 instead of 17" wheels on 125. The frame is the same for both machines. Has anyone any thoughts on this or could anyone measure distance from centre stand pin to bottom of stand where foot peg is. Thanks that would help me decide if worth pursuing
I found Barry very helpful and it would be worth contacting for any NOS parts required. A lot of his stock is not on his website.

Hi George,

I thought of you when I saw those 125 pistons on the web site! I have extended and shortened vee twin centre stands in my time, but being tubular, they were pretty easy, but the early singles stands, built out of angular steel, would not be such a simple job. It could be done though, by a decent metal worker - like a blacksmith.

Colin thanks for reply. I saw pistons on website but not the size I wanted. It was only after contacting Barry that i found that he had a 56.2 piston.

The 125 centre stand is tubular that is what appealed to me. Thinking that I only need to increase length by 1/2" (12 mm) might be able to add 1/2" (12 mm) to bottom tubes to add wear strip. What do you think? Not over keen on the 175 stands. There are some Italian copies for sale. Barry bought one but was not impressed with overall finish.
