mototrans telesco forks

Postby briggy » Wed Sep 11, 2019 7:58 pm

Hi i have a moto trans 250 road from 1977 the fork legs seem badly worn is there another type of 35mm fork with the brake lug on the left to fit the single leading shoe type brake that would fit.
Thanks Ian

Hi Ian,

I may have an entire Mototrans fork assembly if that would be of any use to you. I am unsure what shape they are in.

I am in the US. I mention it because forks are large and heavy and will be expensive to ship.

The obvious choice for alternative front dampers would be from an Italian widecase scrambler. The front brake from a Telesco equipped Mototrans would bolt right up and both fork tubes are 35mm. 350 Road Telesco forks are about 760 cm from axle center to the top of the fork tube. W/C SCR forks are about 15mm shorter. Other W/C SCR forks may be different lengths.
