Do you folks think these hairspring valve springs may be ok or should be replaced?
I would like to re use but not sure if the wear is acceptable or not.

I think they are OK for normal use, as long as any sharp changes of section caused by the wear are smoothed by filing etc.
I've seen hairpin springs that were worn to half original diameter, still working well enough.
Where the wear occurs does not effect the spring action, although there is a small loss of installed height = pressure.

I would use them! seen and used a lot worse, as Jordan said....just make sure there are no sharp edges to the wear areas, and if so smooth down.
Cheers,
George

That’s reassuring because that’s what mine looked like, and I refitted with the steps smoothed out a bit.
They’re not too expensive to buy, but easy for costs to get out of control with these little bikes.

Thanks to all,

Glad I can re use them, this bike is only for road use.
This is the most interesting engine I have worked on and looking forward to getting it running soon.
