Getting closer

Hustling to get the bike ready for the Midwest rounds of WI and MI as well as Mid-Ohio and maybe a couple Wera races. 350 motor in a 450 frame. Misano head. Piper 277 cam. Omega piston. Straight cut primary gears. Ceriani replica GP35 fork and 4LS front brake. Plastics are from Airtech and a small mountain of parts from Nigel at Lacey. Just got the belly pan mounted and sorted. I wrapped the pipe and added a small heat shield. Looking forward to the Summer!

Very nice indeed! What 4 shoe front brake is that? Hope you have a great time out there with it. I already have one race in the record books this year on my 350, another in two weeks. I’d love to run Road America, maybe next year. Looking forward to your race reports.

It's a Ceriani 4LS. But in the photo the brake plates aren't on the bike.

Motor is buttoned up. Just a few odds and ends to sort out and I can turn my attention to the other things needing sorting on this. Frame and a pile of small items are at powdercoat. All the plastics are off at paint. Spent plenty of time hunkered over the dial indicator getting the shimming correct. Tedious work for sure. I have to say, Nigel at Lacey is super helpful answering questions and offering suggestions.

350 widecase
Misano head
41/34 7mm stem valves
Coil springs
Piper 277 cam
Misano polished rocker arms
High volume oil pump
Omega 75.6mm piston
Nova close ratio gears
Nova straight cut primary
Straight cut bevel gears
External oil lines

Looks and sounds good
Which high volume oil pump did you use?

You won’t have trouble with Nigel’s pumps or parts

I asked because I fitted a high volume pump and (my fault) didn’t understand the fitting advice..
Because the New pump is wider it was compressed when I fitted the right cover.
I posted here some years ago re this as a warning to others.
Didn’t want it to happen to you
Mine was NOT a Lacey product.

I read the warnings as well. I used engineers blue mark up dye and painted the end of the idler gear/pump drive. Then bolted everything up to make sure there was clearance. All seems well.
