Hi Bevel heads

In the process of restoring my scrambler. Lucky to have a very un-abused frame, a bit of pitting tho from the Wet Coast weather we have. Anyways as your can see this frame has the metal band across the back of the frame. Looks a bit bent looking at it from the side. Question is.. how straight were they when they left the factory? If it needs a bit if straightening any advice.
Any one have a picture of the correct tail light for this year. Plus where to get one.

Thanks for your help.

B

FWIW, Byron, that bar is shown in the parts book with a kink :), perhaps a bit closer towards the seat bracket than in the middle as yours seems to be.

The parts book says the light unit was an Aprilia 4521 unit. This, you might have to hunt around for. Lenses are easier to find than the whole unit which was made out metal so thin you could virtually see thru it.

This was on ebay recently:

However, the very similar CEV 9313 unit is relatively easy to find and would probably be the way I would go. The bodies are virtually identical (who was copying who?), only the lenses are a bit different. Just look out for people demanding high prices - if you want, you can get reasonable knock offs for less than $30.

Thank you for the response. It’s great having a second opinion from a fellow Ducati owner about parts/projects. 8-)

The links are very helpful. In this case seeing the real lite vs black/white parts book pic really helps :D

Cheers,
