TS 175 fork seals..how to release them ?

HI ..The fork seal holders on my 175 are seized onto the fork leg outers..what is the best way to get them apart ? I have tried heat and easing oil ..no joy..thanks Dave Sheffield

Heat and a strap wrench should do it . but if all else fails cut them off and replace.

If it's the alloy shrouds which screw onto the sliders, I read somewhere to wrap a bit of emery cloth round to give plenty of grip. Luckily mine unscrewed easily. New ones are available from several places. I think both Barry Jones and Nigel Lacey have them.
I think the seals themselves are pressed into the sliders, but not done that bit yet. Stanchions are still being done.

Wrap a strip of rubber round the seal holder, then fit a worm drive hose clip over the rubber and tighten up, then use an oil filter chain wrench or strap wrench to remove.
