69 450 MK3 D

Postby Used Piston » Thu Jan 04, 2018 8:22 pm

Hello, I am new to this list but not to Ducati Bevels. I joined because I am starting to resurrect a 69 450 mk3 D that has been in storrage for some time. The project is intact and to my surprise, mostly complete and the piston and valves are new so it's a good start. I am trying to decide on total restoration or just a mechanical with patina. Looking at the details, I see a decal on the tank that I can't seem to locate on any supplier site. It is on the top below the made in Italy sticker. Ducati with the words "The Thoroughbred of Motorcycles" below it. Ducati is blue with white outline and script below is gold. above the t and i in Ducati is the winged eagle of ducati. I have seen this logo on the Bevelheads T and a few other places. Is this a Berliner decal and does anybody have a source?

Thanks, John

Rick

John,
If you don't mind a thick, vinyl stick-on,
