the 160 primary ratio is allready pretty low 63 / 21 = 3 to 1

a 250 ratio is 60 /24 = 2.5 to 1 and 350 / 450 is 57 / 27 = 2.11

Thanks. I know what the primary ratios are thanks, but while the 160 shows a lot of potential as P65 trials motor its never going to be that good a bike with a 64 tooth back sprocket. A German guy who rides a 250 Ducati trials bike is running a 74 tooth rear and he has 160 primary gears fitted to that............

Do you really need 4 reverse gears? ;)

Thats exactly what I thought...............but was told by an old engineer who used to race an F3 that crank runs forward direction and chain drive conversion would work. I dont even have a bottom end yet so not had the chance to check anything out.
