Speedometer drive

Hallo,

how can i dismount the speedo drive gear from the hub.

With a puller.
I have one, origin unknown, that works well.
Do you want a photo? From it you may be able to make a copy.

Otherwise I can lend it to you or anyone for a refundable deposit.

Hello Jordan,

thanks for your reply, please send me a photo.
I think heating outside and cooling inside could be helpful, if there is no a splint pin or so.
I need the space for a reed contact from my new tacho/speedo unit.
I want use an old speedokable as cover for the two wires - so it looks like an old speedo drive.

This is probably safer to the gear teeth than a 2 or 3 leg puller.
There is no pin securing the gear to the hub. It is just a press fit.

That is a clever idea, hiding wiring in the speedo drive cable outer.
