Cam conditioning

My 250 needed some attention to the valve clearances and seats so I have removed the cam . There in no heavy wear but under close inspection it looks like a little light stoning would improve the surface. Is this beneficial or a waste of time?, the followers with their chrome surface are in a similar condition but may need a different approach?.

Fine, medium and course.
The fine lap is good for your intended purpose.
