Desmo Camshaft Bearings / open or sealed?

Postby howlndog » Tue Sep 19, 2017 9:19 pm

The original two camshaft bearings(part #75120.1542), are an "open" bearing. Must I stay with open bearing replacements or is there any value / possibility going to sealed? Or... more to the point, are the open type required as part of the head's oil circulation?
