FWIW, that's definitely what I'd be doing :). So pretty!

Btw, Tom Bailey implies that the first imported bikes had blue frames.

Anyone know a good match for that blue? I'm thinking I'll do mine in blue, although was originally red and gold.

The blue is very nice - lechler is producing the original colors.

Hi Ian,

Go:
http://italy.lechler.eu/Portals/12/Area ... er-ASI.pdf

Pages 9 et seq.

Its called Azzurro metallico and its ASI (= "Automotoclub Storico Italiano") code is Duc A22.

I purchased the Ian Fallon book and from what i can tell it wouldn't be out of the question for me to restore this with clip on's, Blue tank and Black frame with normal footpegs.

Am I correct in assuming I should be looking for the scrambler front mudguard as apposed to the Mark 3 type?.

The parts book lists two different part numbers for the early scrambler and the 1964 Mark 3. The scrambler is 0622.67 200 and the 1964 Mark 3 is 0623.67 300.

The two parts look quite similar but the Scr had a 19" front wheel and the 1964 Mark 3 had an 18" front wheel. I can't say for sure that the two parts were significantly different but the Scrambler would probably have 1/2" more clearance than a front fender for a 1964 front fender. I have seen a 1964 Mark 3 but never next to a NC scrambler.

Don't make a special job on my account. I'll ask the paint supplier if they can work from the Lechler code, or maybe will just choose a colour I like!

Hi everyone. Newbie here, Dave.

I've just bought a Ducati single - basically 2 frames, most of an engine and a couple of wheels. It's a small world - engine number is DM250 88163 - the next one off the production line after Mr Pinks. No frame number - reading the forums that seems standard for bikes exported to the states.

So, any more info Mr Pink? Is it a 4 speed or 5 speed? At the moment the engine isn't in the bike so I can't tell what mine is. What year - 1964 or 1965?

Have you finished your bike - I'd be interested in seeing some pictures. Any suggestions/advice for rebuilding?

I'm aiming to put mine on the race track. I'm in New Zealand (although the bike originally came from the states). It doesn't have any paperwork so it would be complicated (but not impossible) to put it on the road.

I do have a second frame and some engine bits so I may look at building a road version some time in the future.
