I will add that when tuning my bike that not only did the 60 slide make a huge difference, but the bike was still running rich, so I ended up dropping the needle to the first position. The plugs are now a lite tan and the bike pulls smoothly through the rev range.

From memory (a bit fuzzy now!) I think the pilot mixture screw works opposite to an Amal , in to weaken,out to richen.

Getting my Mark 3 up and ready for a good blast round Jurby airfield , could really do with a rocking gearchange pedal as I have a duff foot. Anyone got one for sale? Needs to be the type that mounts on the footrest.
