Hey all,
New here, but certainly not new to bikes. Pick up a ducati 160 motor in excellent condition, and being I had a cb175 roller just sitting there, I threw it in. Damn thing fit near perfect. After getting some education on these motors, partly from manuals/Internet sources, and part from Tom Bailey, I have started the motor work to get a little more out of this little guy. Thus far, I picked up a modified barrel from Tom, 1.5mm shaved off the bottom, so a modest compression improvement, as well as been given a tutorial on modifying the intake to a larger diameter. A lager carb will be used, paired with a free blowing exhaust. Length will be pretty similar, just with a different muffler. I was also able to get a cdi/12v conversion kit. I have a pretty good understanding of what I am doing, but I do have one question i'd like to get an answer to.
While taking apart my head, I noticed the end of my cam is different than the typical 160. Tom had said he never saw it before. The hole going through the cam was smaller, and instead of a notch going through only half of it, a notch went straight across the diameter of the end. I'm trying to find out if this is actually a different cam, or same cam, and it means nothing.
I will put up some photos once I have some which are smaller files.

Ok, we'll, I'd rather see a ducati engine in a honda than a honda engine in a ducati...
Nice clean looking bike.

I second what Bruce said.
Also, nice job with the bike, it sounds great certainly way better than it would with a Honda engine. I think you're missing something though with keeping the Honda badges. Norley or Triton certainly sounds better than Honcati does maybe someone can come up with something else.

Haha thanks guys. Bike isn't done yet, since the video I got a real headlight on it. I still have to paint the headlight bracket, ceramic coat the exhaust, add teeth to the rear sprocket. And the tank is going to be stripped of badges so only ducati will be on there. In the original logo. Everything other than the tank will get done this week.

It's too bad you didn't use a Yamaha frame, Yamacati just rolls off the tongue.
Seriously though nice job. I really like the exhaust and how you routed it. When you get a chance post some pictures.
